Cermosem-Ardèche

The last trip. It sounds so sad and felt like it too. It means end of an adventure as a student of IUT. 8 am and my bus decided to leave earlier so I saw him passing by the bus stop and sadly he didn’t saw me running towards him. Thanks to my groupmate who has a car, we made it to IUT with 10 minutes being late. Big bus on the road was waiting for us. My groupmates, bachelor students that followed us to Suze-la-Rousse and two professors went to this transport that took us to University Cermosem in Mirabel village. The future guides welcomed us. Students are learning guiding in here and are eager to become good guides in future. In the building we warmed ourselves with tea and coffee and were introduced to future guides. We started our excursion with the tour of Cermosem building that included story of history and important people. Each guide explained little and made this tour fun and easy to listen. Then we went outside and gained some short story about the garden we saw and that is planted with medicine herbs. The air of countryside that I longed for, finally reached my lungs. I loved our walks outside. Later we walked to place where are a lot of trees planted and one of students-guide told us a legend of why one of the trees is called white, although it has nothing noticeably white on it. Story was told brilliantly. He was a real actor while telling this legend. We went back to degustate some wine. I feel like I have become a real expert in wine degustation after all these trips. While tasting, we talked with other students. Shared our impression about France, passed good time. After we went back to the bus for continuation. Next stop was Vallon-Pont-D’Arc. Rocky hills with lake passing by. Picturesque place, so we took a lot of pictures, heard other legend about the arc of this rocky cliff and went back to bus for more sightseeing on the way. While riding in bus, both professors and students shared information through microphone, and I was being educated while looking outside bus window. Ardèche is mesmerizing. We made another stop just to see the view from above the cliff and some hill goats accompanied us. Later bus driver stopped at some point and dropped off our guides-students. We waved goodbye and went back to our now hometown-Valence. Professor continued using microphone and telling many things about Ardèche but at some point, I just fell asleep and woke up seeing sunset and recognizing road we were at. It was dark and I thanked the bus driver and professor for this amazing trip and went home.
