Gastronomic Festival Valence 2019

Sunny day it was, perfect to walk around the food tents, inhale the different aromas and see clearly what professional chefs had prepared. Once again this day was devoted to food.
My classmates and I had a chance to visit annual Gastronomic Festival of Valence. It took place in the city centre. The streets were full of people trying to get the offered food, trying to see the performance of the chefs and buy some local products to cook at home. We recieved special cupons that gave us abbility to taste some food from the tents were the chefs welcomed us and told a bit about the foods specificity. We had a chance to taste ice cream of nugat with honey made from tree leafs, "The Suisse"- Valence speciality, biscuit that is soft and has a bit taste of citruss. Also we had unique opportunity to taste some desserts of the Michelin star restaurant of Valence, which in the end didn't impress us with its taste. It was original presentation and design of the food, but the taste, sadly, was not so good.
In one tent we stayed a bit longer, because we met our gouide from tourism office of Saint-Péray, Sebastien, who welcomed us with a glass of Saint-Péray wine. He was promoting wine and telling bypassers what he told us at excursion. It was pleasant meeting.
Let me say France is fully devoting itself to food, the way they present it and appriciate it confirms the fact that food in this country is the best and locals aknowledge it by spending a lot of time and money for enjoying it and the end for about 7 hours per day in the company of friends or family.
